Cactus / disciformis

A degrafted young Strombocactus disciformis was in flower.

A short Pereskiopsis stock has still atached on the cactus which relies on the stock.

It is mid of winter but the cactus is in flower.

Cactus / Astrophytum hybrid

Two astrophytum hybrid were in flower in winter by unknown reason.

The photo is one of them.

The species is capricorne x red flowering asterias. The body is similar  to the father which is asterias.

The temperature in greenhouse was 29 'C after lunch.

An astrophytum asterias opened a small flower.

Cactus / agavoides

 It was 1st day of winter yesterday. The maximum temperature reached to 22 'C in the afternoon.

Two Ariocarpus agavoides were in flower in the afternoon.

The photo is one of them. I assume it was the last flowering of Ariocarpus in this season.

Cactus / buiningii

 Two uebelmannia buiningii were in flower.

The photo is one of them.

Uebelmannia buiningii is in flower through a year including in winter.

Cactus / scapharostroides

 An ariocarpus retusus v scapharostroides was in flower.

I bought seeds and sowed in 2006.

Var scapharostroides has thinner tubercles and smaller body comaped to standard retusus.

Cactus / scaphirostris

 An ariocarpus scaphirostris was in flower.

I just have 3 flowering size of this species.

12 seedlings have been grafted. I have tried to increase numbers.
