Cactus / jauernigii

I bought 10 seeds of Turbinicarpus jauernigii and sowed in August 2006.
5 of them have survived

Cactus / Ariocarpus

Yesterday was a dood sunshine day. Several Ariocarpus were in flower in the afternoon.
A fused Ariocarpus, kotschoubeyanus and agavoides is one of them.
They were fused during the grafting process.

Cactus / buiningii

We got a good rain last night. The rain fall in this year is more than that of normal year.
3 Uebelmannania buiningiis were in flower.
The photo is one of them.
Uebelmannia are in flower through a year except mind of winter.

Cactus / bravoanus

It was 6 'C in this morning.
An ariocarpus bravoanus was in flower.
It may be the last flowering of Ariocarpus in this autum.
Bravoanus has a small body, just 6 cm in diameter.

Cactus / Daruma royal

A rooted off-set of Ariocarpus retusus cv Daruma royal was in flower.
This one was rooted two years ago.
Unfortunately it was a bit weak last autum and I could not see any flowers.
The flowering shows an evidence of recovering.

Cactus / retusus

A degrafted Ariocarpus retusus was in flower.
This retusus has twin-heads.
The formation of twin-heads is affected by the grafting.

Cactus / Astrophytum hybrid

Althogh it is in autumn, an Astrophytum 1st filial hybrid was in flower.
The hybrid is capricorne x red flowering asterias.
Body shows both parents characters and flowere colour comes from father.
A very young seedling was grafted in 2019.

Cactus / agavoides

Many Ariocarpus agavoides were in flower.
A good cactus grower can maintain tips of tubercles well but mines were damaged quite lot.
The photo is one of them which has own-roots, never grafted.

Cactus / retusus

All of my Ariocarpus were propagated from seed by myself. I have never bought Ariocarpus plants.
Some of them were grafted when they were very yong seedlings and degrafted/rooted latsr.
I also have kept many Ariocarpus which have never grafted and just rely on own-roots since they were seedlings. The photo is one of them.
