It will be very hot in the afternoon but none can change anyway.
An other super kabuto was in flower.

A 1st filial astrophytum hybrid, senile x super kabuto was in flower.
This type of hybrid tends  to be a small body normally but this one is not.
The body is 14 cm in diameter.

The name tag said "Tiger super kabuto".
Several plants have survived.

I sow seeds of miracle kabuto every year.
The photo is seedlings sown seeds in 2012.
I have 120 seedlings in total sown seeds in the year.
They have reached the flowering age but I remove all flowering buds to encourage the growing speed of body.

A gymnocalycium spegazzinii v armatum sp nova was in flower.
I once collected gymnocalycium with strong spines.
It is no longer but some of them have still been remained.

Cactus / hanazono kabuto

A hanazono kabuto was in flower.
I bought seeds and sowed in 2005.
Several young seedlings were grafted when they were 1 year old and degrafted later.
This is one of them.
I assume this size is the maximum for this plant, 13 cm in diameter.

An astrophytum asterias was in flower.
This one is quite old and elongated.
Flowers have come out from abnormal location.

Cactus / spegazzinii

An other Gymnocalycium, spegazzinii v loricatum was in flower in the morning.
I bought seeds and sowed in 2003.
Although it was same seed batch, cacti show various spine length.
This one has short spine.

Cactus / monvillei

Gymnocalycium have been in flower.
The photo is one of them, monvillei v horridispinum.
As shown on the name, this should have thicker spines than standard one.
The color of flowers seems a bit different from standard one.
I bought seeds with this name but I am not sure.

Cactus / strobiliformis

A pelecyphora strobiliformis was in flower.
This one was propagated from an off-set/rooted.
The rooting of this species is not difficult.

Cactus / horizontharonius

An echinocactus horizontharonius was in flower.
This one was degrafted with a short stock.
This species open flowers on a very hot day.

Cactus / alonsoi

The species of turbinicarpus alonsoi is a small cactus.
I have propagated them from seeds.
An alonsoi in a 5 cm square tube was in flower.

Cactus / Astrophytum hybrid

This abnormal cactus is an astrophytum hybrid.
Both of body color and shape are abnormal.
Seed name was fukuryu banjyaku but I am not sure.
I have not seen the flower yet.

Cactus / kikkou

An astrophytum myriostigma cv kikkou was in flower.
This one is actually also mixed khoyo gene.
The plant is still very young but it has sown kikkou character.

3 matured miracle kabutos were in flower.

The size is 12 cm in diameter, relatively small.

The location of the flower is unusual.
It may be mixed hanazono's gene.

The color of flowers are pinkish.
I did not intend to make this color but this one shows pinkish color.

The shape of body has turned to a typical old asterias appearance.
