Cactus / fused cacti

 The photo is a fused cacti, Astrophytum asterias cv miracle kabuto + Ariocarpus fissuratus.

Since it is summer in here, miracle kabuto is in flower.

I expect the fissuratus is in flower in autumn.

Cactus / banjyaku

 A degrafted and rooted Astrophytum hybrid, hakujou fukuryu banjyaku was in flower yesterday.

Since the gene of ornatum is mixed in banjyaku, rooting is quite easy.

The cactus is just 8 cm in diameter.

Cactus / ruri kabuto

 A young Astrophytum asterias cv Oibo ruri kabuto was in flower.

Although it is in flower, the cactus is quite small, just 6 cm in diameter

Cactus / asterias

 The photo is an Astropytum asterias which has reddish flowers.

The cactus is quite small and accommodated in a 6.5 cm square pot.

Cactus / cardenasium

 A gymnocalycium spegazzinii v cardenasium was in flower yesterday.

I bought seeds and sowed in 2006.

Since spines are so dense, it is hard to open the flower completely.

Cactus / variegated asterias

 An astrophytum variegated asteruas was in flower yesterday afternoon.

It is a small cactus, just 6 cm in diameter.

The body is a nudum.

Cactus / kikkou

 A young Astrophytum myriostigma cv kikkou was in flower.

This one is a rooted off-set. The size is 8 cm in diameter.

Te rooting of myriostigma is relatively easy.

Cactus / spegazzinii

 A gymnocalycium spegazzinii was in flower.

I bought seeds and sowed in 2003. The current size is 16 cm in diameter.

Loricatum has short and thick spines.

Cactus / hakuran-super

 A 1st filial Astrophytum hybrid, hakuran-super was in flower.

Hakuran-super is the hybrid of coahuilense x super kabuto.

The cactus is 15 cm in diameter.

Cactus / miracle kabuto

 Several young Astrophytum asterias cv miracle kabutos were in flower.

They are 7~8 cm in diameter.

The photo is one of them, showing a typical miracle character already.

Cactus / fused cactus

 A. fused cactus was in flower.

Two spacies were fused. One is an Astrophytum asterias cv miracle kabuto and the other is an Ariocarpus fissuratus.

A short Pereskiopsis stock is attached them and buried in potting-mix.

They rely on the short stock.

Cactus / red flowering hanazono kabuto

 The photo is a 1st filial red flowering hanazono kabuto.

It is hanazono kabuto x red flowering asterias.

The cactus shows both characters, hanazono and red flowering.
