Cactus / denegrii

 An obregonia denegrii was in flower in this morning.

I propagated this one from seed harvested from my plant.

It is 8 cm in diameter currently.

Cactus / horizonthalonium

 A gymnocalycium spegazzinii v horizonthalonium was in flower yesterday afternoon.

It was 2nd flowering for the cactus in this season.

I bought seeds and sowed in 2003. The current size is 12 cm in diameter.

Cactus / Astrophytum hybrid

 The attached photo is a 1st filial hybrid, coahuilense x asterias cv super kabuto.

I moved to 2nd filial but 2nd ones did not grow to a reasnable body size.

The cactus on the photo is 14 cm in diameter.

Cactus / tubercle grafting

 The attached photo is an updated appearence of grafted tubercle posted on Dec 7.

An off-set is formed on the areole.

The tubercle will turn to a cactus soon.

Cactus / super kabuto

 A matured Astrophytum asterias cv super kabuto was in flower yesterday.

I lost around 30 matured asterias last spring but this one could survive.

The cactus is around 12 cm in diameter.

Cactus / Astrophytum hybrid

 An astrophytum hybrid, capricorne x red flowering asterias was in flower yesterday.

It is a 1st filial hybrid. Since the style of flower is also red, the flower is a true red.

The cactus is small, 8 cm in diameter.
