Cactus / asterias

May will be soon but some asterias are still are in flower.
The photo is one of them, a variegated asterias.

Cactus / bravoanus

A degrafted Ariocarpus bravoanus was in flower.
Bravoanus is a small plant, just 6 cm in diameter even if it was a flowering size plant.

Cactus / kotschoubeyanus

I could not open internet for last one week due to WAN problem.
A degrafted Ariocarpus kotschoubeyanus were in flower.
It is hard to be a multi-headed plant with own-root one but it turns to multi-headed easily when it was grafted.

Cactus / cauliflower

A young ariocarpus retusus v furfuraceuscv Suguri cauliflower was in flower.
It is a degrafted one, 5 years old.
The cactus shows the character of the cultivar well.

Cactus / furfuraceus

Many ariocarpus retusus v furfuraseus were in flower together.
They were degrafted and rooted.
The size is around 12 cm in diameter.

Cactus / Daruma, Seiji

An ariocarpus retusus v furfuraceus cv Daruma, Seiji was in flower.
The character of this cultivar is round tubercles and Seiji body colour.
I propagated this one from an off-set.

Cactus / kotschoubeyanus

Ariocarpus kotschoubeyanus is a small plant but it turns to a large multi-heads plant if it was grafted.
The photo is degrafted ones.
Although they had short Pereskiopsis stocks originally, rely on own-roots currently.

Cactus / agavoides

Many Ariocarpus agavoides were in flower yesterday.
The photo is one of them, propagated from seed.
Tubercles of agavoides become short when it was grafted once.
The cactus on the photo has long tubercles because it has never been grafted.

Cactus / fissuratus

Several ariocarpus fissuratus standard form were in flower yeaserday.
The photo is one of them, 8 cm in diameter.
Fissuratus have relatively small bodies.

Cactus / intermedius

Autumn weather in here is unstable, repeating worm/cool weather conditions.
Ariocarpus are in flower several times in autumn by following the weather conditions.
The photo is degrafted Ariocarpus fissuratus v intermedius, pushing flowering buds up.
It will be the second flowering in this autumn.

Cactus / miracle kabuto

A young miracle kabuto was also in flower.
I sowed seed in 2012.
It is still small, 5 cm in diameter.

Cactus / red flowering Hanazono kabuto

Some asterias have still been in flower.
The photo is one of them, degrafted 2nd filial red flowering Hanazono kabuto.
The character of Hanazono has not been sown yet.

Cactus / furfuraceus

The flower colour of Ariocarpus retusus v furfuraces is white on 1st day but it turns to pinkish in 2~3 days. The photo is flowers of furfuraceus on 4th day.
