Cactus / lloydii

 A degrafted Ariocarpus fissuratus v lloydii was in flower.

I have just one plant, this one and I can not increase numbers of this species.

Lloydii has smoother skin compared to a standard fissuratus.

Cactus / Red flowering asterias

 It will be the last flowering of asterias in this season.

The photo is an Astrophytum asterias cv red flowering asterias.

It is young and small, just 7 cm in diameter.

Cactus / scaphirostris

 An ariocarpus scaphirostris was in flower.

A scaphirostris is a small cactus but this one is larger than standard size because this one was grafted once.

I have tried to increase numbers of this species. 12 young seedlings have been grafted, 1 year old.

Cactus / fukuryu banjyaku

 It is in autumn in here. Ariocarpus speciese have been in flower but some Astrophytum have remained flowering.

The photo is an Astrophytu hybrid, fukuryu banjyaku.

Since the banjyaku is mixed ornatum gene in, the cactus tolerates various environment.

Cactus / intermedius

 A degrafted Ariocarpus fissuratus v intermedius was in flower.

I repotted this one lately but it seems the cactus did not get any damage form the repotting.

The flower colour is very soft and I like.

Cactus / cauliflower

 A young Ariocarpus retusus v furfuraceus cv Suguri cauliflower was in flower.

I propagated this cactus from seed.

Seedlings show the character of "cauliflower" are less than 10% in my place and almost all are normal furfuraceus.

Cactus / godzilla

 A young Ariocarpus fissuratus cv godzilla was in flower.

This one was degrafted and rooted.

It is very young, just 2 years old.
