Cactus / fissuratus

 The flowering of Ariocarpus was interrupted once but it has come back.

The photo is a degrafted matured Ariocarpus fissuratus.

It is quite large, 15 cm in diameter.

Cactus / asterias

 A matured astrophytum asterias was in flower.

As you can see, flowers come out other locations of areoles.

It was a normal asterias but it turned to this shape when the cacts reached to a mature age.

Cactus / Astrophytum hybrid

 Several astrophytum hybrids were in flower yesterday afternoon.

The photo is one of them, 1st filial capricone x red flowering asterias.

Although the flower is red, I can not see any characters of capricone on the body except fine spines.

Cactus / retusus

This morning was 6 'C. It is too cold in April. I am not sure the reason.

The attached photo is Ariocarpus retusus which was in flower lately.

The flowering Ariocarpus is interrupted currently but I believe it will come back soon.

Cactus / Shinkawa Tamazouge

 An ariocarpus retusus cv Shinkawa tamazouge was in flower.

This cultivar has longer and thinner tubercles than standard retusus.

I bought seeds and sowed in 2005.

Cactus / Daruma Royal

 A degrafted large Ariocarpus, retusus v furfuraceus cv Daruma Royal was in flower.

As you can see, the cactus has grown a large block because it was grafted once.

Cactus / kotschoubeyanus

 Several degrafted Ariocarpus kotschoubeyanus f Rio Verde were in flower.

The attached photo is one of them.

Kotschoubeyanus is a small cactus but it grows a large block when it was grafted.

The cactus on the photo is 12 cm in diameter.
