A matured astrophytum asterias was in flower.
As you can see, flowers come out other locations of areoles.
It was a normal asterias but it turned to this shape when the cacts reached to a mature age.
Several astrophytum hybrids were in flower yesterday afternoon.

Although the flower is red, I can not see any characters of capricone on the body except fine spines.
