Cactus / fissuratus

A matured ariocarpus fissuratus f Big Bend was in flower in this morning.
It is the 2nd flowering for the cactus in this autumn.
Form Big Bend has smmother body than that of standard fissuratus.

Cactus / kotschoubeyanus

Many degrafted Ariocarpus kotschoubeyanus were in flower in the afternoon.
The photo is one of them.
Kotschoubeyanus is a single head normally but it turns to a multi-heads form as shown on the photo when it was grafted.

Cactus / miracle kabuto

Although it is mid of autumn, several young miracle kabutos have returned to be in flower.
The photo is one of them.
Seed was sown in 2012 and the current size is 8cm in diameter.

Cactus / cauliflower

A degrafted Ariocarpus retusus v furfuraceus cv Suguri cauliflower was in flower.
This one is propagated from seed harvested from my cactus.
The cactus shows the character of cauliflower very well.

Cactus / Daruma seiji

The flower of Ariocarpus retusus related species is white but it turns to pinkish 3~4 days after from 1st opening day.
The photo is an Ariocarpus retusus v furfuraceus cv Daruma seiji with a pinkish flower.
It is also a good timing of the pollination.

Cactus / red flowering asterias

A red flowering asterias were in flower yesterday.
It is a 2nd filial red flowering hanazono kabuto but it has not shown the character of "hanazono" yet.
The body size of 2nd filial asterias is quite small normally.
The size of this one is 7 cm in diameter.

Cactus / super kabuto

It should be out of season for asterias flowering but some of them are still in flower.
The photo is one of them, a super kabuto.
This one has started to show kikko character aund the growing point.
