Cactus / asterias

An asterias was in flower.
Although a standard asterias has 8 ribs, this one has 13 ribs.
5 ribs were added when the cactus reached to a mature age.

Cactus / miracle kabuto

The photo is my oldest miracle kabuto, sown seed in 2004.
I think this one shows a typical appearance of miracle kabuto.
The current size is 18 cm in diameter.
I hope it could reach to 20 cm in diameter which is my target size.

Cactus / Super kabuto

A matured super kabuto was in flower.
This one is just abut starting to show the character of Hanazono.

Cactus / hanazono kabuto

A matured hanazono kabuto was in flower yesterday.
It looked an ordinal asterias when it was young.
It has turned to a wonderful asterias as you can see.

Cactus / red flowering asterias

Many asterias were in flower in the afternoon.
The photo is on of them, 2nd filial red flowering hanazono kabuto.
The cactus was degrafted last September and rooted.
It has not shown yet the character of hanazon at all.

Cactus / loricatum

A gymnocalycium spegazzinii v loricatum was in flower in the afternoon.
Cacti propagated from a same seed pack show various spine length.
This one has very short spines.
Seed was sown in 2003.

Cactus / ornatum

A gymnocalycium spegazzinii ornatum was in flower in the afternoon.
I bought seeds and sowed in 2004.
A seedling was grafted once but it was degrafted and rooted in 2006.
