cactus / furfuraceus

An ariocarpus retusus v furfuraceus was in flower in the afternoon.
This one was degrafted several years ago and relies on own root currently.

Cactus / retusus

An ariocarpus retusus cv Shinkawa tama zouge has pushed 2 flowering buds up.
This cultivar has longer tubercles than that of standard retusus.
The size is 16 cm in diameter.

Cactus / fissuratus

An other fissuratus f Big Bend was also in flower yesterday.
I bought seeds and sowed in 2003.
Several young seedlings were grafted on Hylocereus stocks and degrfted later.
It is one of them, 20 cm in diameter.

Cactus / fissuratus

A matured Ariocarpus fissuratus f Big Bend was in flower in the morning.
Big bend form has smoother skin than that of standard form.
I degrafted years ago and I think it has own-roots currently.

I added the character of hanazono on a super kabuto.
It just starts to show the character of hanazono.

Cactus / agavoides

A grafted Ariocarpus agavoides was in flower.
All Ariocarpus species are in flower in autumn.
It means autumn will be soon.
The scion is very young, just 1 year old.

Cactus / miracle kabuto

My main collection is asterias especially miracle kabuto.
The period from seed to flower is not so long, around 5 years
The photo is a young miracle kabuto, sown seed in 2012.
I have kept similar age ones quite many.
