A Thelocactus heterochromus was in flower yesterday.
It should be the last flower in this season.
Autumn will be soon.

Cactus / retusus

I bought seeds as "retusus cv tri-fingers" but this one had not shown the the character of the cultivar.
This means it is just a "retusus".

Cactus / Shinkawa tama-zouge

The photo is an Ariocarpus retusus cv Shinkawa tama-zouge.
I assume this one was developed by Mr. Shinkawa.
This cultivar has long and thin tubercles compared to standard retusus.

A degrafted, own-root Ariocarpus retusus was in flower.
I expect many Ariocarpus will follow soon.

Cactus / fissuratus

2 of Ariocarpus fissuratus f Big Bend were in flower in this morning.
The photo is 1 of them.
I bought seeds and sowed in 2003.

Cactus / bicolor

A grafted Ariocarpus retusus v bicolor has pushed flowering buds up.
I have tried to minimize grafted cacti.
I may degraft this one next spring.

Cactus / hintonii

A degrafted Ariocarpus bravoanus v hintonii was in flower in the afternoon.
Hintonii is a small cactus.
This one is also just 5 cm in diameter.

Ariocarpus are in flower in autumn.
Hot days has continued but the autumn will be soon.
