Cactus / kikkou

An astrophytum  myriostigma cv kikkou was in flower in the afternoon.
I removed shade cloths covered over the roof of greenhouse early in the morning.
The brightness in the greenhouse has returned as like summer days.
It may affect on the flowering.

Cactus / kikkou

A matured Astrophytum myriostigma cv khoyo, kikkou was in flower yesterday.
This cactus has khoyo gene but it is no longer turning body color because of a mature age.

Cactus / hintonii

2 degrafted Ariocarpus bravoanus v hintonii were in flower in this morning.
They were degrafted last year with a short stock of Pereskiopsis.
The body is quite small, in a 65 mm square pot.
The photo is one of them.

Cactus / intermedius

A grafted 1 year old Ariocarpus fissuratus v intermedius was in flower.
I grafted 24 young seedlings onto Pereskiopsis stocks.
It will be also in flower all others soon.

Cactus / ornatum

A South american cactus, Gymnocalycium spagazzinii v ornatum was in flower.
I collected south american cacti with strong spines once but I have stopped it.
Since spines are quite long, the flower is limited to open completely.

Cactus / red flowering asterias

Although autumn has begun, hot days, mid 30s 'C have continued.
Many aserias were in flower yesterday.
The attached photo is one of them, a red flowering asterias.

Cactus / bicolor

2 grafted Ariocarpus retusus v bicolors were in flower in the morning.
I bought 10 seeds and sowed in 2006.
Several young seedlings were grafted for the purpose of seed collection.
