Cactus / red fower aserias

An astrophytum asterias f red flower was in flower yeserday.
I could not pollinate because just one cactus was in flower.
It seems this cactus has never become a large body size because of frequent crossings in history.

Cactus / myriostigma

This is a normal astrophytum myriostigma.
Since I have never sown myriostigma seeds, I believe I bought seedlings from someone but I can not remember when I bought.

Cactus / hanazono kabuto

Astrophytum asterias cv hanazono kabuto was also in flower.
Since it is still early spring, the size of flower is quite small and one flower only.

Cactus / Astrophytum hybrid

This is 2nd filial hybrid, coahuilense x super kabuto.
It is good looking but the body size is quite small unfortunately.
1st flower will open soon.

Cactus / coahuilense

Some of Astrophytum were in flower yesterday afternoon.
This coahuilense was one of them.
Coahuilense is very close to asterias and can make a hybrid easily.
The flower color is yellow petals and orange throat as same as asterias.

Cactus / Degrafting of Ariocarpus

Winter in here is relatively mild.
Pereskiopsis can grow in winter in my greenhouse.
They can keep leaves 1st winter when they were used as grafting stocks but loosing leaves during 2nd winter.
The growing speed of scions will be dramatically reduced when stocks lost leaves.
I degraft scions when they are 2 years of old because of the reason.
The photo is 2 years old Ariocarpus retusus v furfuraceus cv Sugri cauliflowers with short Pereskiopsis stocks, 10 mm length.
Potting medium is pumice sand. I completed defrafting and potting in this morning.
Pots are 10 cm square pot.

Cactus / valdezianus

I attached Turbinicarpus valdezianus v albiflorus before.
This is standard flower one.
I thought I sowed albiflorus seeds only but it might be mixed standard one also.
