Cactus / astrophytum hybrid

 An astrophytum hybrid, hakujo fukuryu banjyaku was in flower in this afternoon.

Since I just got seeds from my freind, I am not sure the history of the cactis,

Banjyaku is a hybrid, myriostigma x ornatum.

Cactus / astrophytum hybrid

 Two astrophytum species were in flower in this afternoon.

The photo is one of them, 1st filial hybrid  which is senile x super kabuto.

The cactus is 12 cm in diameter.

Cactus / moelleri

An echinocactus horizonthalonius v moelleri was in this afternoon.

Spines of moelleri are bit poor than standard one.

Moelleri is in flower every year in this season.

 

Cactus / strobiliformis

 An pelecyphora strobiliformis was in flower.

This ia also rooted off-set, appearing hairly.

The cactus is 8 cm in diameter.

Cactus / alonsoi

 I have kept 17 flowering age turbinicarpus alonsoi which were propagated from seeds. One of them was in flower yesterday.

Seeds were harvested from my plants.

The cactus is small, just 5 cm in diameter.

cactus / vatteri

 A gymnocalycium vatteri was in flower yesterday afternoon.

I propagated this cactus from seed.

This vatteri has single spines, 12 cm in diameter.

Cactus / aselliformis

 A pelecyphra aselliformis was in flower.

I have kept 30 flowering this species. The cactus is a rooted off-set. All of them are same.

Rooting pelecyphra is not difficult.
