 An ariocarpus fissuratus v intermedius was in flower yesterday.

This one is the original plant in my place which seeds were sown in 2005.

Unfortunately just one original plant has survived. 24 off-springs have reached to flowering age.

 An ariocarpus fissuratus v lloydii was in flower yesterday.

I bought seeds and sowed in 2005.

30 seeds were sown but just one has survived.

Cactus / godzilla

 Flowers of ariocarpus fissuratus cv godzilla have come back.

The photo is one of them, largest and oldest godzilla in my place.

The cactus is 11 cm in diameter.

Cactus / trigonus

 A degrafted ariocarpus trigonus was in flower.

I have kept more than 10 plants of this species but only this one was in flower.

I hope all others would be in flower soon.

Cactus / furfuraceus

 Several ariocarpus retusus v furfuraceus were in flower.

New flower of this species is white but pinky colour will be added in 2~3 days later as shown the attached photo.

I have kept many of them.

Cactus / ariocarpus hybrid

 My friend gave me some seeds of cauliflower and I sowed in 2014.

Since the history of seeds was unknown, some seedlings were grafted to see result earlier.

It seems the cactus is not a cauliflower, a hybrid I think.

 An ariocarpus retusus v furfraceus cv Daruma Royal was in flower yesterday.

I propagated this cactus from seed which was harvested from my cactus.

The cactus is 15 cm in diameter currently.

Cactus / Shinkawa Tamazouge

 An ariocarpus retusus cv Shinkawa Tamazouge was in flower.

This cultivar has quite long tubercles, 12 cm in diameter currently.

I propagated this from seed harvested from my plant.

Cactus / cauliflower

 An aripcarpus retusus v furfuraceus cv cauliflower was in flower yesterday.

Seeds were sown in 2005.

The cactus is 16 cm in diameter currently and showing the character of cultivar quite well.

Cactus / Daruma Seiji

 Several ariocarpus retusus v furfuraceus cv Daruma Seiji were in flower yesterday.

I like this species and have kept many.

The photo is one of them, 15 cm in diameter.

 A 1st filial ariocarpus hybris, retusus v furfuraceus cv Suguri cauliflower x fissuratus cv godzilla was in flower.

It was 1st flowering for the cactus.

The cactus is still small, 8 cm in diameter.

It was 2nd flowering for the cactus in this season.

Overall diameter is 25 cm.

 An old astrophytum asterias was in flower yesterday afternoon.

I propagated the cactus from seed, about 20 years old.

The best looking age of asterias is around 10 years old.

 A degrafted turbinicarpus alonsoi was in flower in the afternoon.

To harvest seeds earlier, several seedlings were grafted. This is one of them.

Since it was grafted once, the body is quite large but all descndants are small plants.

 An astrophytum hybrid, hakujo fukuryu banjyaku was in flower yesterday afternoon.

The current size is 11 cm in diameter.

Since the hybridization affects the size, I can not expect the cactus to gain size more.

I bought seeds and sowed in 2004.

Cactus / fissuratus

 A degrafted ariocarpus fissuratus was in flower yesterday.

Normal own-rooted fissuratus is around 10 cm in diameter but the cactus on the photo is 17 cm in diameter.

The grafting affects the size of body.

One of them was in flower in this morning. 

Seeds were given by my friend, which were sown in 2018.

Seedlings were grafted, and degrafted in 2020.

 A 1st filial astrophytu hybrid, capricorne x super kabuto was in flower yesterday afternoon.

It will be the last flower of astrophytum species in this season.

It is still quite hot in this year but I could see some ariocarpus species soon.

I bought seeds and sowed in 2006.

It was 1st flowering for retusus related species in this season. The cactus is 15 cm in diameter.

I bought seeds and sowed in 2003. 3 yong seedlings were grafted to get seeds earlier. They were degrafted/rooted after harvested seed.

This species is in flower in late summer every year.

My friend gave me some seeds and I sowed in 2011.

This cactus shows the character of ornatum well.

 A matured Astrophytum myriostigma cv khoyo, kikko was in flower yesterday afternoon.

I bought seeds and sowed in 2007.

The cactus became tall when it was a mature age, 20 cm tall.

The cactus is 2 years old, 8 cm in diameter.

This month is the last month of summer. This flowering is too early.

The flower could not open freely due to interfering strong spines.

Since seeds were given by my friend, I am not sure the history.

I think the cactus has strong gene of ornatum.

 A 1st filial astrophytum hybrid, capricorne x red flowering asterias was in flower yesterday. 

The body is similar to asteras and flowere colour is red enough, I think.

I have kept 12 seedlings harvested seeds on same day.

 A discocactus placentiformis v latispinus f major HU640 was in flower. I took the photo early in this morning.

I boudht seeds and sowed in 2007.

The cactus grows well, 17 cm in diameter currently.
