Cactus / denegrii

 An obregonia denegrii was in flower yesterday.

I think the flowering is out of season but it was by some reason.

O. denegrii grows very slowly.

Cactus / hintonii

 A small ariocarpus, bravoanus hintonii was in flower yesterday.

I bought seeds and sowed in 2006.

The cactus is not young but it is in a 6.5 cm square pot.

Cactus / godzilla

 Shade clothes covered over the large greenhouse were removed yesterday afternoon. It is the setting for autumn/winter seasons.

An ariocarpus fissuratus cv godzilla was in flower after removed shade clothes.

The cactus is not large, 8 cm in diameter.

Cactus / Astrophytum hybrid

 An astrophytum 2nd filial hybrid, senill x super kabuto was in flower yesterday afternoon.

This cactus shows both parents characters which are spines and flecking.

The hybridization may be affected and the cactus is quite small, 6 cm in diameter.

Cactus / super kabuto

 Several astrophytum asterias cv super kabutos were in flower yesterday.

The photo is one of them, 12 cm in diameter.

I assume this flowering is the last one in this season.

 An astrophytum asterias cv miracle kabuto was in flower yestreday afternoon.

I lost may good miracle kabutos last spring.

The cactus on the photo is 18 years old. I hope it could live longer.

 7 astrophytum asterias related species were in flower yesterday afternoon.

The photo is one of them. 

The cactus is a normal asterias but it is showing the character of hanazono, 12 cm in diameter.

Cactus / pectinifera

 An uebelmannia pectinifera was in flower in this morning. The flower is very small.

It seems this cactus is in flower through a year except mid summer.

I harvested seeds and sowed lately but I could not see any germinations.

 A degrafted Ariocarpus retusus wsa in flower yesterday afternoon.

I bought seeds and sowed in 2003. A very young seedling was grafted and degrafted later.

The cactus turned to a multi-heads form during drafted.

 An ariocarpus fissuratus was in flower yesterday.

I bought seeds and sowed in 2003.

Since this one is a degrafted cactus, the body has grown well, 16 cm in diameter.

 3 ariocarpus retusus related species were in flower yesterday.

The photo is one of them, degrafted retusus v bicolor.

I bought seeds and sowed in 2006. It is 16 cm in diameter currently.

Cactus / intermedius

 An ariocarpus fissuratus v intermedius was in flower yesterday afternoon.

I have many of this species but just one was in flower.

This is a degrafted one and remained some grafted characters.

Cactus / godzilla

 Several ariocarpus fissuratus related species were in flower in this afternoon.

The photo is one of them, degrafted A. fissuratus cv godzilla.

This cactus is not so large which is in 8.5 cm square pot.

Cactus / alonsoi

 Two turbinicarpus alonsoi were in flower yesterday afternoon.

The attached photo is one of them, which is in a 6.5 cm square pot.

I propagated these cacti from seeds harvested form my own plant.

Cactus / fissuratus

 Just one cactus was in flower yesterday, which was Ariocarpus fissuratus f Big Bend.

It was 3rd flowering for the cactus in this season.

It is the turning point of season from summer to autumn currently.

Cactus / denegrii

 An obregonia denegrii f San Vicente was in flower yesterday afternoon.

I bought seeds and sowed in 2005. I am not sure how different between this form and standard one are. 

I just refer to the name tag of seed.

 An astrophytum myriostigma was in flower yesterday afternoon. Since it opened in autumn, the flower was quite small.

I bought seeds and sowed in 2003.

The cactus is around 19 cm in diameter currently.

Cactus / Astrophytum hybrid

 Autumn started yesterday but some Astrophytum species were in flower ysterday.

The photo is one of them, 1st filial hybrid,  senile x super kabuto.

I tried to make 2nd filial hybrid but the result was very poor.
