Cactus / fissuratus

 An ariocarus fissuratus was in flower

I harvested seeds from my cacti and sowed in 2007. 5 plants sown seeds in same time have suevived.

One of them was in flower,  which body was 12 cm in diameter.

Cactus / trigonus

 A degrafted Ariocarpus trigonus was in flower.

I bought 20 seeds and sowed in 2005. The germination rate of seeds was very good. Almost all of them have survived fortunately

The cactus is in a 12.5 cm square pot.

Cactus / Daruma Royal

 A matured Ariocarpus retusus v furfuraceus cv Daruma Royal was in flower.

This cactus was grafted once and so it became a large block. It relies on own-roots currently.

I bought seeds and sowed in 2004.

Cactus / variegated asterias

 I removed shadecloth covered over greenhoues which was the setting for autumn to spring.

Although it is in autumn, this change gives flowering for some Astrophytum species.

The photo is one of them, a variegated asterias.

Cactus / jarmilae

 An ariocarpus retusus v jarmilae MM110 was in flower.

I bought 25 seeds and sowed in 2006. The germination rate of seed was quite good.

The cactus has grown well, 15 cm in diameter currently.

Cactus / confusus

 An ariocarpus trigonus v confusus was in flower which was 1st flowering of the cactus.

My friend gave me 6 young seedlings and aske me to graft 4 years ago. All of them were taken well.

I retuned 3 of them to him. I degrafted and rooted 3 my scions 2 years ago.

 A matured Ariocarpus retusus which is oldest and largest retusus in my place was in flower.

I bought seeds and sowed in 2003. A very young seedling was grafted and degrafted later.

It relies on own-roots currently but the character of grafted scion is still remained, which is hairy body.

Cactus / Daruma seiji

 Several matured Ariocarpus retusus v furfuraceus cv Daruma Seijis were in flower yesterday.

The attached photo is one of them.

Although the colour of flower on 1st flowering day is creamy white, it is changing gradually.

The photo is 3rd day of flowering.

Cactus / cauliflower

 4 Ariocarpus retusus v furfuraceus cv Suguri cauliflowers were in flower yesterday.

The attached photo is one of them which shows the character of cauliflower well.

Seedlings show various forms and I just keep seedlings show the character of cauliflower.

The current size is 16 cm in diameter.

Cactus / Ariocarpus hybrid

 A possible ariocarpus hybrid was in flower yesterday.

My friend gave me seeds and sowed in 2018. The name tag of seeds said "cauliflower".

A very young seedling was grafted and degrafted 2 years ago.

The flower colour is not white. I assume it may be retusus x fissuratus.

Cactus / godzillas

Young degrafted Ariocarpus fissuratus cv godzillas were in flower yesterday. Some of them have still pushed flowering buds up.

They are just 4 years old.

They are accommodated in 12.5 cm square pots and you can image their sizes.

Cactus / intermedius

 Two Ariocarpus fissuratus v intermedius were in flower in this morning.

The photo is one of them, 10 cm in diameter.

I bought seeds and sowed in 2005. The germination rate was quite good and 12 cacti have survived.

 Hot summer days have come back but a matured Ariocarpus fissuratus was in flower in this afternoon.

Cactus / Astrophytum hybrid

 3 Astrophytum hybrids, capricorne x red flowering asterias were in flower in this afternoon.

The attached photo is one of them which was red flower colour to transfer successfully.

The body is quite small, just 6 cm in diameter.

Cactus / super kabuto

 It was a warm day today. These warm days will continue for a while.

A matured Astrophytum asterias cv super kabuto was in flower in the afternoon.

Flowers of asterias in autumn is smaller than normal ones.

The cactus is 15 cm in diameter.

Cactus jarmilae

 An ariocarpus retusus v jarmilae MM110 was in flower yesterday.

I bought 25 seeds and sowed in 2006.

The germination rate of seeds was not so good but some of germinated seedlings survived.

Cactus / seiji

 An ariocarpus retusus v furfuraceus cv Daruma Seiji was in flower yesterday aftenoon.

I like this short tubercles and body colour, and so I keep this species quite many.

It is a matured size, 14 cm in diameter.

A degrafted matured Ariocarpus retusus was in flower yesterday.

It is 15 cm in diameter.

It seemes I can not expect gaining in diameter. The cactus grows taller.

 

Cactus / bicolor

 An ariocarpus retusus v bicolor was in flower yesterday afternoon.

The body of this one is as same as a normal retusus but the flower colour is "bicolor".

This is a matured cactus, 15 cm in diameter.

Cactus / cauliflower

 An ariocarpus retusus v furfuraceus cv Suguri cauliflower was in flower in this morning.

It is still a young plant and the character of cauliflower is not significant unfortunately.

The current size is 15 cm in diameter.

Cactus / godzilla

 Two degrafted young Ariocarpus fissuratus cv godzilla were in flower.

The attached photo is one of them.

Seeds were sown in 2019 and young seedlings were grafted.

They were degrafted and rooted last October.

 Today is the 1st day of autumn in here.

Degradted ariocarpus fissuratus f Big Bend were in flower yesterday.

I have 3 degrafted this species and 2 of them were in flower.

Fissuratus are in flower early in autumn.
