Cactus / super kabuto

 A matured astrophytum asterias cv super kabuto was in flower.

It is 15 cm in diameter.

Since summer will be soon, I covered over greenhouse by shade cloth in this morning.

Cactus / moelleri

 An echinocactus horizonthalonius v moelleri was in flower.

The cultivar moelleri has shoter and thinner spines than that of standard one.

I bought seeds and sowed in 2007.

Cactus / aselliformis

 A pelecyphora aselliformis was in flower. It was the second flowering in this spring.

Although summer will be very soon, the temprtature is not high enough in this year.

This one was degrafted and rooted some years ago.

Cactus Astrophytum hybrid

 An astrophytum hybrid, capricorne x red flowering asterias was in flower.

This year is in La Nina which makes more rain and lower temperatue in summer in here.

Flowering of Astrophytum is a bit later than that of normal year.

Cactus / nicholii

 An echinocactud horizontharonius v nicholii was in flower.

The cultivar nicholii  has straight spines. Since it is in a greenhouse, spines are bit poor.

I bought seed and sowed in 2005.

Cactus / super kabuto

 An astrophytum asterias cv super kabuto was in flower.

I propagated this one from seed and the current size is 15 cm in diameter.

Unfortunately the body is not clean enough by stained.

Cactus / myriostigma

 A matured Astrophytum myriostigma was in flower.

Actually I fund rotting on bottom area last year.

I cut it off and the body turned to shorter but the rerooting process worked well.

Cactus / fukuryu banjyaku

 An atrophytum hybrid, fukuryu banjyaku was in flower.

Seeds were given by my friend and sowed in 2012.

Banjyaku is a hybrid, myriostigma x ornatum.
