Cactus / hanazono kabuto

 The photo is a matured Astrophytum asterias cv hanazono kabuto.

I bought seeds and sowed in 2003.

The cactus shows the character of "hanazono" quite well.

The current size is 15 cm in diametser.

Cactus / super kabuto

 A matured astrophytu asterias cv super kabuto.

This one has attractive super-pattern and body shape.

The size is 15 cm in diameter.

Cactus / asterias

 A matured Astrophytum asterias was in flower.

It is not a hanazono kabuto but it shows the character of "hanazono".

The current size is 18 cm in diameter.

 A matured Astrophytum asterias cv hanazono kabuto was in flower.

This one shows the character of "hanazono" quite well.

It is 17 cm in dianeter currently.

Cactus / Onzuka

 An astrophytum myriostigma cv Onzuka was in flower yesterday afternoon.

Since the body of Onzuka seedlings were thin, I grafted them and made fat bodies.

The photo is a degrafted one.

Cactus / hakujou fuuryu banjyaku

 An astrophytum hybrid, hakujou fukuryu banjyaku was in flower  yesterday afternoon.

The cactus is a rooted off-set.

It is still quite small, 8 cm in diameter.

Cactus / red flowering asterias

 An astrophytum red flowering asterias was in flower in the afternoon.

The cactus is a rooted off-set.

The rooting of asterias is not easy but this one has taken well.

Cactus / miracle kabuto

 Several matured miracle kabutos were in flower yesterday afternoon.

The photo is one of them.

It is my oldest and largest miracle kabuto.

I sowed seed in 2004 and current size is 19 cm in diameter.

Cactus / fukuryu banjyaku

 An astrophytum hybrid, fukuryu banjyaku was in flower in the afternoon.

It is a degrafted and rooted scion.

Since the gene of ornatum is mixed in banjyaku, the rooting is quite easy.
