Cactus / spegazzinii

A Gymnocalycium spegazzinni v loricatum was in flower.
I bought seeds and sowed in 2003.
The current size is 17 cm in diameter
The var loricatum shows short strong spines.

Cactus / super kabuto

This is an other asterias, super kabuto which was in flower yesterday.
Hot days will come back soon.
I expect more asterias flowers.

Several asterias were in flower in the afternoon.
The photo is one of them, miracle kabuto.
The maximam temperature will reach to 32 'C, means it is still in summer.

It is degrafted 2 years old plant.
I degrafted and rooted in the last September.

Cactus / placentiformis

I bought seeds of Discocactus placentiformis v latispinus f major and sowed in August 2007.
The photo is one of them, 15 cm in diameter.
It is the 1st flowering of the cactus.

Cactus / ritteri

A grafted Aztukium ritteri was in flower yesterday.
The stock is Pereskiopsis.
I grafted an off-set last year.
The scion has still been quite small, 15 mm in diameter.

Cactus / heptacanthus

A Discocactus heptacanths v griseus was in flower.
It is hard to describe what type of scent is but the flower releases a very nice scent.
