Cactus / Seedling grafting

I sowed cactus seeds in July/August and started the grafting in September last year.
The grafting process has been continued but it will be finished very soon.
The photo is a part of grafted scions.
Stocks are Pereskiopsis velutina.

Cactus / super kabuto

A super kabuto was in flower yesterday afternoon.
The flower is quite small.
I assume this one knows the autumn would be very soon.

Cactus / asterias

Quite many asterias were in flower yesterday.
Asterias flower will be small normally when it passed mid of summer.
Although it passed summer solstice, this asterias kept to open large flowers.

Cactus / Onzuka

A matured Astrophytum myriostigma cv Onzuka was in flower yesterday.
I bought seeds and sowed in 2004.
I think I need repotting soon.

Cactus / horizontharonius

2 Echinocactus horizontharonius were in flower together yesterday.
I did pollination on each other.
The temperature was so high, 42 'C and petals shrunk a bit.

Cactus / retusus

Since it passed the summer solstice, the daytime became shorter than before.
The temperature just after lunch reached to 38 'C.
It will be increased more toward the evening.
A grafted Ariocarpus retusus v bicolor was in flower possibly by a misjudgment of the season.

Cactus / heptacanthus

This is an other discocactus, heptacantus v griseus.
It looks own-rooted plant but a short grafting stock is attached onto the bottom, which is buried in potting-mix.
These flowers have also very nice scent.

Cactus / horstii

Discocactus are in flower same night together.
The scent of flowers is filled up the greenhouse and leaks to outside in the morning.
