Cactus / Suguri cauliflower

 An ariocarpus retusus v furfuraceus cv Suguri cauliflower was in flowet in this afternoon.

This is one of off-speings of the original cauliflower.

The cactus shows the character of cultivar very well.

Cactus / Rio Verde

 A. degrafted ariocarpus kotschoubeyanus f Rio Verde was in flower yesterday afternoon.

I bought seeds and sowed in 2003.  To harvest seeds earlier, some seedlings were grafted in 2003.

The cactus has grown well, 11 cm in diameter.

Cactus / agavoides

 Some ariocarpus agavoides were in flower yesterday. The photo is one of them.

Agavoides is a small ariocarpus, is  in a 8.5 cm square pots.

As you can see on the photo, some tubercle tips have died. If you could manage the plant well, this promlem will not happen.

Cactus / ritteri

 An aztekium ritteri was in flower.

I think the flowering was out of season but it was in flower by some reasons.

The cactus is quite small, in a 8.5 cm square pot.

Cactus / Shikawa Tama Zouge

 A young ariocarpus retusus cv Shinkawa Tama Zouge was in flower yesterday afternoon.

This is one of off-springs. I harvested seeds form original ones and sowed.

They have reached to the flowering age.

Cactus / intermedius

 Flowers of ariocarpus species came back yesterday afternoon.

The photo is one of them, fissuratus v intermedius.

It was 2nd flowering in this season for the cactus.

Cactus / scaphirostris

 An ariocarpus scaphirostris was in flower yesterday afternoon.

I bought seeds and sowed in 2003.

Only one seedling have survived but I have kept some off-springs.

Cactus / duo-fingers

 An ariocarpus retusus cv duo-fingers was in flower.

I have never bought seeds of this cultivar but the cactus shows the character of duo-fingers.

The cactus is 15 cm in diameter currently.

Cactus / elephantideus

 An ariocarpus kotschoubeyanus v elephantideus was in flower.

I have kept some other kotschoubeyanus related species but only this one was in flower.

I hope I could see more flowers soon.

Cactus / fissuratus

 10 small ariocarpus fissuretus were in flower. They are in 6.5 cm square pots.

The colour of fissuratus flower is very nice.

 An ariocarpus retusus was in flower yesterday.

This retusus is the largest ariocarpus with single head in my place.

 Yesterday was a good sunshine day and some Astrophytum species returned to flower in the afternoon.

The photo is one of them, a super kabuto.

I assume the flower is the last one in this season.

 3 matured Ariocarpus retusus v jarmilaes were in flower.  The photo is one of them.

I bought seeds and sowed in 2006.

I am not sure how much different between standard retusus and this variation is.

Cactus / Ariocarpus hybrid

 5 1st flial ariocarpus hybrids were in flower. The photo is one of them.

The hybrid is retusus v furfuraceus cv Suguri cauliflower x fisstratus cv godzilla.

I tried to make a new ariocarpus which had long tubercles with fissuratus texture.

Cactus / Daruma Royal

 An ariocarpus retusus cv Daruma Royal was in flower.

The cactus was propagated from seed which was harvested from my plant.

This cultivar has wide and long tubercles.

Cactus / confusus

 Two ariocarpus trigonus v confusus were in flower yesterday.

The photo is one of them.

My friend gave me young seedlings. I grafted them and degrafted later.

Cactus / fused cacti

 A fused cacti, Ariocarpus trigonus + Astrophytum asterias cv miracle kabuto was in flower.

Since it is in autumn in here, only trigonus was in flower.

The asterias was in flower last summer.

Cactus / unknown ariocarpus species

 This cactus was propagated from seed which was given from my friend.

I am not sure the history of seeds but the name tag said "cauliflower".

Unfortunately the cactus does not show any cauliflower characters and flower colour is also abnormal.

Cactus / Shinkawa Tama Zouge

 An ariocarpus retusus cv Shinkawa Tama Zouge was in flower yesterday afternoon.

I bought seeds and sowed in 2005. This one is an original plant in my place. I have kept many offspring plants.

This cultivar has long tubercles.

 An ariocarpus retusus v furfuraceus cv Sugrri cauliflower was in flower yesterday afternoon.

The cactus was germinated from harvested seeds by myself.

This is one of good "cauliflowers" selected by myself.

It was 1st flowering of furfuraceus in this season. I have kept many of thie species and so I can see many flowers soon.

 Shade clothes covered over the large greenhouse were removed yesterday afternoon. It is the setting for autumn/winter seasons.

An ariocarpus fissuratus cv godzilla was in flower after removed shade clothes.

The cactus is not large, 8 cm in diameter.

Cactus / Astrophytum hybrid

 An astrophytum 2nd filial hybrid, senill x super kabuto was in flower yesterday afternoon.

This cactus shows both parents characters which are spines and flecking.

The hybridization may be affected and the cactus is quite small, 6 cm in diameter.

 Several astrophytum asterias cv super kabutos were in flower yesterday.

I assume this flowering is the last one in this season.

The cactus is a normal asterias but it is showing the character of hanazono, 12 cm in diameter.

It seems this cactus is in flower through a year except mid summer.

 Just one cactus was in flower yesterday, which was Ariocarpus fissuratus f Big Bend.

It was 3rd flowering for the cactus in this season.

It is the turning point of season from summer to autumn currently.

 An obregonia denegrii f San Vicente was in flower yesterday afternoon.

I bought seeds and sowed in 2005. I am not sure how different between this form and standard one are.

 An astrophytum myriostigma was in flower yesterday afternoon. Since it opened in autumn, the flower was quite small.

I bought seeds and sowed in 2003.

The cactus is around 19 cm in diameter currently.

 Autumn started yesterday but some Astrophytum species were in flower ysterday.

The photo is one of them, 1st filial hybrid,  senile x super kabuto.

I tried to make 2nd filial hybrid but the result was very poor.

 An ariocarpus fissuratus f Big Bend which is the largest fissuratus in my place was in flower yesterday afternoon.

Since this one was grafted once for harvesting seeds, the body has been a large block.

The attached photo is one of them, A. myriostigma cv kikko, hoyo.

The cactus is quite old. I bought seeds and sowed in 2003.

Cactus / Astrophyum hybrid

 I can not see many cacti flowers in these days because summer will finish soon but autumn has not started yet.

Only one cactus was in flower yesterday afternoon.

It was an astrphytum 1st filial hybrid, capricorne x red flowering asterias which is shown on the attached photo.

Cactus / hakujo fukuryu banjyaku

 An astrophytum hybrid, hakujo fukuryu banjyaku was in flower yesterday afternoon.

My friend gave me seeds and I sowed in 2015.

The cactus has grown well and it is 12 cm in diameter currently.

Cactus / heterochromus

 A thelocactus heterochromus was in flower yesterda afternoon.

It was quite popular years ago and I bought seeds and sowed in 2006.

The flower is reddish and large.

Cactus / super kabuto

 I lost many matured asterias in this season. The main reason was root rotting.

Since the weather in this summer is abnormal, the flower is very small.
