Cactus / vatteri

 Several gymnocalycium vatteries were in flower.

I bought seeds and sowed in 2004. The photo is one of them.

The cactus is 12 cm in diameter, single spine form.

Cactus / moellerii

 An echinocactus horizonthalonius v moellerii was in flower yesterday afternoon.

I bought seeds and sowed in 2007.

Seedlings have survived well and I have kept 10 flowering age plants.

Cactus / grusonii

 An echinocactus grusonii in my backyard was in flower yesterday afternoon.

I sowed seeds in 2000.

Be carefull, grusonii will reach to a huge size someday. The cactus is 60cm in diameter.

Cactus / hanazono-super kabuto

 An astrophytum asterias cv hanazono-super kabuto was in flower yesterday.

I created this by a cross pollination of hanazono kabuto x super kabuto.

The cactus is around 10 cm in diameter.

Cactus / myriostigma

 A matured astrophytum myriostigma was in flower yesterday afternoon.

I bought seeds and sowed in 2003.

I cut bottom part of this catus off 2 years ago because of rotting. It seems rerooting works well.

Cactus / hanazono kabuto

 An astrophytum asterias cv hanazono kabuto was in flower yesterday. It was just one flower.

The cactus could open multiple flowers at once when it was young.

The cactus is quite old, 20 years old.

Cactus / ornatum

 Several gymnocalycium species were in flower yesterday.

The attached photo is one of them, a spegazzinii v ornatum.

I bought seeds and sowed in October 2004. We had much rain in this month and cooler than avalage December.

Cactus / ritteri

 Two degrafted Aztekium ritteies were in flower yesterday afternoon.

The photo is one of them. The cactus is attached a short Pereskiopsis stock which is buried in potting-mix.

I tried to root this species many times but I have never experienced any successful results.

Cactus / tubercle grafting

 The grafting process of 6 scions was completed on 3rd in this month.

2 of them were tubercles of Pediocactus simpsonii.

I have experienced to graft many Mammillaria tubercles. I tried to graft different species in this time.

Cactus / heterochromus

 6 Thelocactus heterochromus f longispinus were in flower yesterday afternoon.

I  bought 10 seeds and sowed  in 2006.

7 seedlings have survived and all of them are matured plants. Flowers of thelocactus are large.

Cactes / super kabuto

Several  matured Astrophytum asterias cv super kabutos were in flower yesterday afternoon.

The cactus on photo is one of them.

This one has  a starfish type body and thick flecking.
